Day 01: Delhi – Agra

Namaste! We welcomes you in Delhi. After  warm welcome by our assistance, you  will be driven towards Agra.

Agra, the city of Love, is located on the banks of river Yamuna and is founded by Sikandar lodi. Attractions of Agra are its  masterpiece forts that were beautifully built during the period of mughals. It forms golden triangle tour with other two tourist places i.e Jaipur and Delhi.

TajMahal: It was built under the supervision of Shah Jahan in 1631-1653 to house the tomb of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It is the symbol of love and romance. It is one of the seven wonders of the world, made like a jewel  with  white marble and precious gemestones. It is so beautifully built that leaves tourists awestruck when they visited there

Agra fort: Before shifting of mughals capital from agra to delhi it was the main lodging of the emperors of mughal’s dynasty till 1938. It is made up of red stones. It was made under the supervision of Qasim Khan Mir Barr-u-Bahr. It is very near to Tajmahal.

Sikandra: Its construction was started by Akbar but after his death it was completed  by his son Jahangir. It has akbar’s tomb and palace was named as sikandra . It is five story building entirely made up of red stone except the 5th one which is of white marble. It is embellish with artistic paintings, geometrical and floral designs.

Jama Mosque: Shahjahan made this tomb for her daughter Jahanara  Begum. Tombs are marvelously designed with red and white marbels in zig-zag manner. Along the wings of the chief invocation wall, there are panels made of beautiful sandstone .

Guru ka Tal is a historical Sikh pilgrimage place dedicated to the memory of ninth Guru Sri Guru Tegh Bahudar Ji. Guru ka Taal is known as Sikandra in Agra. The Gurudwara was built over the same place where the Guru Tegh Bahadur offered voluntary arrest to Aurangazeb. Anciently There were twelve towers in the Tal, but know only eight towers have survived the test of time and have now been retrieved. This red stone structure bears similarity to many other magnificent structures of the Mughals.

Kalakriti: It is the largest and most astonishing artifact emporium in Agra. It is built over 10,000 sq. meters. It is a three story forts tangled carvings and designs on the wall and door considered the embellished beauty of Kalakriti. The interiors of Kalakriti sprinkle with tangled wood and metal carvings. Each art effect is timeless possession to beautify space. A variety of designer jewelry as well as costumes  designed at kalakriti .Here  in house design studio are displayed . Tangled pattern in metal entrusted with precious stone blend the customary and contemporary look.

After exploring Agra , we will drive back   to Delhi.
